so, some people are able to predict. why should that make us look at them with awe? i mean, here s the deal, you are able to use some power within you to predict what is going to happen in the future just like Sachn Tendulkar uses his skill to make a cuntury in cricket. do we consider him God?
am just questioning our desire to know what is going to happen to us or to others in the future. i have heard and also strongly believe that one of the basic needs for man is to create a control over his environment. We strive to make things predictable as much as possible. From weather forecasting to planning our day we look for some sort of prediction.
do i think i will be happier taking one day at a time? can i actually do that? is all this need for control a manifestation of our inherent insecurity?

i wouldn't think so. i mean, the ability to predict is one such things. there are people - known as siddhas - who have been known to have all sorts of extra ordinary powers. Yet, they weren't realised...they had accumulated these owing to their sadhana, or spiritual practices.
i have never wanted to know about the future. i tend to revel in the excitement of not knowing and waiting for the surprise twists and turns along the ride.
prayer is good, i think.
The best thing about the future is that it comes only one day at a time :-)
I'd rather prefer not to know the future. There is a fun element involved in spending every moment in awe without knowing whats gonna happen in the next.
Its more fun to watch a movie without being informed of the story beforehand:)

true we all want our future to be a surprise, am just wondering if we actually try to keep it so. am just reflecting if planning our day itself is a kind of control we try to exert over our future though what the day turns out to be is a completely diffent thing
