animal song:)

if only we could understand the animals talk, would we respect them more? are we taking them for granted just because we do not have to listen to them express what they feel about themselves and the world around them?

yesterday the driver of the auto i was travelling in wanted to turn in a road. While doing so he hit the snout of a cow tethered to a bullockart. the force turned the head of the cow and am sure it must have hurt. but by the time the cow turned to look at our auto, we were nearly out of sight.

i immediately shouted at the driver asking why he had to do that. wouldn't it hurt the animal? and the answer i got was an increase in speed and silence. He had completely ignored my cry and acted as if i never existed. how could someone be so blind to the pains of a fellow being? i may have harmed quite a few animals but maybe not intentionally, i don't know, but this episode made me think.

what must the animals be thinking?
cow: ouch! that hurt you rascal. cant you see where your going? at least an apology for courtesy sake. wish i were chewing your head instead of this dried grass

a goat i saw, crossing the road: wont thins stream of vehicles stop? oh good it has, now all i have to do is run across to the other side. oh no its starting again. please don't hit me, please don't kill me.
on the other side of the road, the goat: finally i found some paper to eat. sigh!!what would i give for the green leaves of those olden days.

a pet dog to a street dog: ha look at you all ragged and hungry. i am never left hungry. my master looks after all my needs.
street dog to the pet dog: well at least i still have the freedom to do what i please and don't have to go jumping at the sticks some human throws. i also do not have to meet expectations of the family like you. and best of all i can pee wherever i want to and whenever i want to, i don't have to wait for my master to put a leash on me and take me out every time nature calls:)

i love the animal song

When superstars and cannonballs are running through your head
A television freak show cops and robbers everywhere
Subway makes me nervous people pushing me too far
I’ve got to break away
So take my hand now

Chorus
’cause I want to live like animals
Careless and free like animals
I want to live
I want to run through the jungle
The wind in my hair and the sand at my feet

I’ve been having difficulties keeping to myself
Feelings and emotions better left up on the shelf
Animals and children tell the truth they never lie
Which one is more human
There’s a thought now you decide

Compassion in the jungle
Compassion in your hands yeah
Would you like to make a run for it
Would you like to take my hand yeah

Chorus

Sometimes this life can get you down
It’s so confusing
There’s so many rules to follow
And I feel it
’cause I just run away in my mind

Once I was helping a friend round up her sheep to be sheared and the shearer took a chunk of hide off with the wool - about 3 cm by 1 cm. He saw the expression on my face and sprayed the sheep with disinfectant, but it must have hurt awfully.

I know what my dog is thinking. My last dog taught me. I don't have to look at her, she does it with telepathy. Last night she said 'give me your leftovers, the Sage will only give them to the chickens'. I hadn't thought about it until then.

Animal song is a wonderful song! Everything about it is nice.

In a way.. I guess yes.. if animals could only tell us their feelings, there certainly would be more respect for them because humans tend to take things for granted. And unless someone reminds them of that, they fail to look at what actually is going wrong!

oh yes. we think that the whole world is created for us to abuse in every possible way:) maybe schools could help with this. could try making children aware of the depleion of naural resources by the increasing wants of man

Nice post, unpretentious. The world has been designed for 30 million different species, not just us humans alone.
As the poet says "Co existence or no existence!" .. Unfortunately not many of us understand this simple tenet.

Thanks for visiting my space :)
